Six Soldiers To Be Arraigned And Court Martialed – Army

The Nigerian Army has reported that no fewer than six soldiers of the Nigerian Army will be facing a court martial for indiscipline and other related offences at the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Enugu.

The unidentified soldiers are between the ranks of corporal and lance corporal.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Division, Maj.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, made the disclosure while inaugurating the General Court Martial on Wednesday in Enugu.

The GOC said that court-martia was meant to instil general discipline in the Nigerian Army.

Nigerian Army To Court-Martial 158 Soldiers In North-East

The Nigerian Army’s Joint Taskforce North-East Operation Hadin Kai, on Saturday, launched two court-martials to try defaulting personnel serving at the operation ground in the North-East. with many soldiers now facing a tall order.

According to the Theatre Commander of the Joint Taskforce, Maj. Gen. Christopher Musa, military personnel numbering no fewer than 158 will be tried on matters that pertain directly to the regimentation, discipline, efficiency, and morale of the military.

Musa made this revelation while inaugurating the general and special court-martials in Maiduguri, Borno State.

‘To maintain the armed forces in a state of readiness, the military as
