2023: INEC Deletes 2.7 Million Ineligible Registrants

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has again made another announcement which revealed that it has discovered 2.7 million cases of some double registration which had been carried out during the recently concluded Continuous Voter Registration.

The commission  had also revealed that all the affected persons have been deleted from the voter register.

This had been disclosed by the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, at an event tagged ‘National Endowment for Democracy’ held in Washington DC, United States.

INEC CVR Session Captures Over 10 Million Nigerians In 1 Year

The ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has captured up 10,487,972 as of 7 a.m. today.

This analysis was contained in the quarter four, week 12 update which had been released in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had also commenced a fresh voter registration session on June 28, 2021.

INEC had made confirmations that 9,455,198 Nigerians have managed to complete their registration sessions. Of the figure, 3,314,169 registered online while 6,141,029 did physical registration.
