Gambari: CUPP Raises Alarm Over Buhari’s New CoS

The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has expressed worry over the appointment of Ibrahim Gambari as the new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Gambari, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs replaces the late Abba Kyari, who died of coronavirus complications.

CUPP spokesman, Imo Ugochinyere, in a statement, said the body was aware that Gambari was a “die-hard agent of the late military dictator, Sani Abacha”.

It alleged that Gambari supported “the evil execution of late Ken Saro Wiwa and annulment of June 12 election.”

The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has faulted the 14 days lockdown extension by President Muhammadu Buhari.

CUPP said the lockdown extension without putting adequate palliatives for Nigerians was “insensitive.”
