A renowned Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has lauded THISDAY Editors for recognising her as one of the one of the honourees in the THISDAY decade awards.

In a statement she issued yesterday, the young writer also thanked everyone involved in the voting process for the honour of being named “Woman of the Decade” alongside the UN Deputy Secretary General, Ms Amina J Mohammed.

AWARD-WINNING writer, Chimamanda Adiche, alongside others will speak at this year’s annual Felabration Symposium tagged The FELA Debates. The event which is open to the public comes up on Monday, October 14, 2019, inside the NECA Events Center, Ikeja Central Business District, Alausa Ikeja. And the topic for the symposium is ‘Teacher Don’t Teach Me Nonsense,’ which is the title of one of his hit songs.
She will be sharing the Fela Debates’ stage with law teacher, Prof. Akin Oyebode, British activist, Akala, and Ugandan politician, Bobbi Wine.

Chimamanda Adichie to speak at Yale’s 2019 Class Day

Chimamanda Adichie, 41, Acclaimed Nigerian writer is one of those selected as  speakers at the Yale’s 2019 Class Day.

Adichie graduated with a Master’s Degree from Yale in African History in 2008.

The Class Day Planning Committee member, Shuyu Song said the writer was selected based on her ability to give a meaningful and memorable address to the class, says Yale Daily News.
