Waheed Docked For Hacking, Stealing From N-Power Account

As the long arms of the law managed to catch up with him, an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court has ordered the remand of a 33-year-old man, Baderinwa Waheed, who allegedly hacked into and stole an N-Power beneficiary’s five months stipend.

The defendant, whose address was not provided, is charged with forgery, stealing, and fraud.

According to the prosecutor, Mr. Olaolu Olayinka, the defendant committed the offenses sometime in March 2021 in Ado-Ekiti. Olayinka alleged that the defendant conspired with one Tiamiyu Salimot to commit a computer-related forgery and log into one Adeola Olofin’s N-POWER dashboard to defraud her.

2 Men In Court Over Alleged Burglary, Theft In Ekiti

One Isah Ibrahim and Faruq Umaru, alleged to have stolen a Yamaha generator and other valuables worth ₦442,000, were on Friday brought before a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ado-Ekiti.

The defendants, whose ages were given as 65 and 27 respectively and of no fixed addresses, are facing a two-count charge of house breaking and stealing.

The Prosecutor, Insp Oriyomi Akinwale, told the court that the defendants committed the offences sometime in April at about 2:00a.m., at Atikankan Area in Ado-Ekiti.
