The Bauchi State government, on Monday, announced the sudden resignation of Alhaji Abubakar Kari, Chief of Staff to Gov. Bala Mohammed.

Dr. Ladan Salihu has been appointed as replacement.

Until his recent appointment, Salihu, a one time Director-General of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), was the Commissioner for Information in the state.

His new posting was announced by Malam Muktar Gidado, Media Aide to the Governor.

Bandits on Wednesday abducted the Chief Imam of Beni Central Mosque in Munya Local Government of Niger State, Alhaji Umar Ali, and 20 others.

The top US air transport regulator on Wednesday doused Boeing’s hopes that its 737 MAX will return to the skies this year while lawmakers probed why the agency did not ground the plane after the first of two crashes.
