Nyesom Wike who is the Rivers State governor, on Monday blasted the former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, while he described him as a total failure in government.

Governor Wike had also noted that as far as Rivers State is concerned, Amaechi has been unable to attract any meaningful project to the State in seven years while he had been serving as a minister as well.

The Governor of Jigawa State, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar on Wednesday joined other interested presidential aspirants to contest for the seat of number one citizen of Nigeria under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Igbo Coalition Presents Amaechi, Obi, Umahi As Presidential Candidates

A coalition of Igbo Groups, have lined up the Minister of Transport, Chibuike Amaechi, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, Governor David Nweze Umahi, and Peter Obi for 2023 presidency.

The coalition comprising World Igbo Youth Congress, Southeast Women Professionals and Igbo Students Union described the decision of Arewa Youths to form an alliance with Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide ahead of the 2023 general elections as a welcome development.

The Coalition said the development was an affirmative action that both groups will definitely present a consensus candidate in 2023.
