Sack Burutai: CAN Chairman Tells Buhari

 

Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria in Adamawa State, Stephen Mamza, has urged President Muhammad Buhari to sack all service chiefs.

 

Mamza on Wednesday in Yola, the state capital, alleged that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai, and other service chiefs were only looting the country’s resources in the ongoing war against Boko Haram.

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the Boko Haram killing of Lawan Andimi, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Michika local government area of Adamawa state.

Buhari, in a statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, described the murder as cruel, inhuman and deliberately provocative.

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has condemned the murder of the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Rev. Lawan Andimi, by Boko Haram

Lekan Are, a foremost Nigerian agronomist, businessman, philanthropist and Chairman of University Press Plc, is dead.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Are was 86-years-old.

Mr Toye Akinrinola, the Public Relations Officer of University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, confirmed Are’s death to NAN on Saturday.

Gunmen Kidnap APC Chairman In Ondo

Armed men suspected to be kidnappers on Sunday kidnapped a ward Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State.

The ward Chairman identified as James Tolorunju Ajulo was said to have been taken away by the kidnappers when they stormed his home.

Ajulo who was abducted in front of his residence at Ibaka quarters of Akungba Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government was driven away in his personal car after the gunmen had ransacked his house.

Edo Assembly Calls For Removal Of Esan West LG Chairman

The Edo State House of Assembly on Monday, suggested the removal of Mr Patrick Aguinede, the suspended chairman of Esan West Local Government Council, over alleged unremitted Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

The request followed the consideration of the report of the panel of enquiry constituted by Gov. Godwin Obaseki to investigate allegations of fraud leveled against the chairman.
