U.S. Coronavirus Infections Vastly Undercounted: CDC

Although the United States is the world leader in coronavirus cases with close to 2.6 million, its Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC said the figure is the tip of the iceberg.

According to data released by CDC, the number of coronavirus infections in many parts of the United States is more than 10 times higher than the reported rate.

The analysis is part of a wide-ranging set of surveys started by the CDC to estimate how widely the virus has spread.
