Celtic Fires Ahead To Clinch Scottish Title

In the football world, Celtic put on an impressive performance as they put the Scottish title beyond the reach of Rangers after coming from behind to beat Hearts 4-1 on Saturday.

Celtic is now nine points and 22 goals ahead of last season’s champions Rangers, who have three games left starting with Sunday’s Ibrox clash with Dundee United.

During the game, Ellis Simms threatened to spoil the party when he fired Hearts into an early lead. But Celtic turned the game around before half-time through goals from Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi.

Gerrard Savours Biggest Win As Rangers End Celtic Park

Steven Gerrard hailed Rangers’ 2-1 win at Celtic as the best feeling of his managerial career so far as the blue side of Glasgow won an Old Firm clash on enemy soil for the first time since 2010.

Christopher Jullien scored the only goal on the hour mark, but Neil Lennon’s men had goalkeeper Fraser Forster to thank for a string of saves, including from Alfredo Morelos’ second-half penalty after Jeremie Frimpong was sent off for bringing down the Colombian striker.

Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie took his tally for the season to 15 with a first half brace either side of Ross Stewart’s leveller for County.
