Carbon Emissions Offset Market Inaugurated In Canada

Fresh developments have been announced by the Canadian Government as Canada recently unveiled and inaugurated a national carbon emissions market to help it meet its climate goals which would be allowing cities, farmers and others to sell credits for CO2 reductions to heavier polluters thereby reducing the carbon emission rate in the Country.

Under this new Carbon trading system which has been pioneered in the Country, registered participants can generate one credit for each tonne of emissions they reduce or remove from the atmosphere.

Canada Introduces Bill To Ban Gay ‘Conversion Therapy’

The Canadian government on Monday announced a bill to ban so-called “conversion therapy,” which tries to change the sexual orientation of young LGBT people.

The bill would create five new offenses in the Canadian criminal code, including prohibiting subjecting a minor to the practice, either in Canada or abroad.

An adult would also not be able to undergo conversion therapy against his or her will, and no one would be allowed to profit from or advertise it.
