Bukola Saraki, former Senate President has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is the only hope Nigeria needs to survive and fully bounce back come 2023.

Saraki made the assertions at the inauguration of the PDP National Reconciliation Committee in Abuja, on Tuesday. He also insisted that PDP was the best platform to rebuild and unite Nigeria.

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki Friday insisted that the North Central Region of Nigeria will determine the future of the country.

Senator Saraki, a former governor of Kwara state, while arguing that the region would further develop the country, said the mineral resource deposits in the region was a huge source of income in the future.

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has revealed why the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu went after him with zeal to prosecute him.

Saraki said Magu decided to take the fight against him personal because the eight National Assembly members did not confirm his appointment as substantive EFCC Chairman.

The former Senate President was reacting to his victory against the EFCC at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Saraki Floors EFCC: Court Orders Return Of His Seized Houses

The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to return the two houses forfeited temporarily to the Federal Government to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The court on Thursday reversed its order of interim forfeiture of the Ilorin properties to the Federal Government.

Justice Rilwan Aikawa ordered the release of the houses back to Saraki while, while delivering judgment on an application by the EFCC seeking to permanently forfeit the houses to the Federal Government.

Recall that following the nullification of the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, David Lyon and his Deputy, Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo’s election, the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) on Friday declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Douye Diri, winner of the Bayelsa governorship election.
