Keyamo Speaks On Buhari ‘Silencing His Political Opponents’

Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, on Monday insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari has no reason to silence his opponents who lost during the 2019 elections.

Keyamo said Buhari’s opponents were silenced during the last elections, hence no need for the president to take such step now that polls are over.

VAT In Nigeria Now 7.5 Percent As Buhari Signs Finance Bill

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2019 finance bill into law in Abuja on Monday.

The import is that the Value Added Tax (VAT) in Nigeria is now officially 7.5 percent from 5 percent.

The bill was submitted to the national assembly alongside the budget but the bill signing is coming 27 days after the 2020 budget was signed into law on December 17.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has revealed what President Muhammadu Buhari told All Progressive Congress (APC) Youth Leaders, its President Bello Shagari, among others, at a meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Buhari Sends Message To Lawan

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with Senate President, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, on his 61st birthday.

His message was contained in a statement on Sunday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu.

MEND Meets Jonathan, Sends Message To Buhari

Following the December 24, 2019 attack on the Otuoke residence of ex President Goodluck Jonathan by gunmen, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), paid a solidarity visit to him at his residence in Yenagoa in Bayelsa on Friday.
