Bowen University Sacks Over 100 Workers

Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State has reportedly sacked over 100 staff of the institution amidst growing concerns about the effect of ravaging COVID-19 on the countryβs economy.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr Toba Adaramola, the laid-off was due to the adoption of technology by the institution, adding that the decision was necessitated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adaramola said about 8-10% of the workforce was affected, adding that the decision to reduce the workforce had been on for sometimes.
