President Muhammadu Buhari has applauded the youths in Borno State, for their decorum in the wake of looting and destruction of property occasioned by the #EndSARS protest.

Alhaji Baba-Shehuri, the Minister of State for Agriculture said the President made the commendation in a goodwill message to a Peace Stakeholders Forum on Wednesday in Maiduguri.

The international NGO community in Nigeria has demanded for the release of the remains of the five aid workers executed by terrorists in Borno State to their families and calls for the unconditional and immediate release of other two aid workers whose whereabouts remain unknown.

A statement by Moshood Raimi, Senior Information Management Officer, Nigeria INGO Forum and made available to DAILY POST on Friday, said, since the beginning of 2019, eight aid workers were executed following their abduction, while the whereabouts of two others remain unknown.

Governor Zulum Extols Igbo Spare-Part Traders, Promises Support

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum extolled automobile spare-parts’ traders, mostly Igbos, for their courage in not running away from Borno State and remaining in business despite the boko haram challenges since 2009.

The Governor gave the commendation on Tuesday, when he visited ‘Bola’, Maiduguri’s most popular market for automobile parts.

Zulum had recently constructed roads in the market to end difficulties faced by the traders and their customers.

One of the persons who witnessed the attack on Faduma Kolomdi village in Gubio local government area of Borno state on Tuesday has narrated how the insurgents deceived villagers before they struck.

The Nigerian Army on Monday rescued three students of Federal Government Girls College, Maiduguri from the insurgents in Borno State.

Maj.-Gen. Olusegun Adeniyi, the Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD), disclosed this while presenting the rescued victims to their families in Maiduguri.
