Blast In Mosque At Afghan Interior Ministry Kills 2

No fewer than two people were killed on Wednesday after a bomb blast tore through a mosque on the grounds of Afghanistan’s interior ministry in Kabul, a hospital has confirmed.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that since the Taliban made their way back to power last August they made security a priority but attacks have ramped up in recent months, even as officials have continued to make attempts to downplay them.

Italian non-governmental organisation Emergency, which operates a hospital in Kabul, revealed it had received 20 patients ‘after a bomb attack in a mosque at the interior ministry’.

Panic As Bomb Explosion Hits Kogi

Residents in Kabba, Kogi State, have been thrown into confusion following an explosion which has left an undisclosed number of people dead and many people injured. 

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the ugly explosion occurred opposite Mannajot Petrol Station on Sunday evening, with a yet-to-be-ascertained number of people feared injured.

Details of the blast are still sketchy but a security source linked the bomb explosion to the Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād.

Crisis: Bomb Explodes At Party Secretary’s House In Edo

A bomb on Tuesday exploded around the residence of the Secretary to the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Lawrence Okah.

Addressing journalists in Benin, Okah disclosed that he was lucky to be alive, following the incident which occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Also speaking, a chieftain of the party and governorship aspirant, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu warned against turning the state into a war zone.

The APC governorship aspirant urged the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, and President Muhammadu Buhari to help resolve the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.
