Fulanis Benefit Nothing From Nigeria, Miyetti Women Leader

 

The National Women Leader of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, Hajiya Baheejah Mahmood, has said Nigeria will know the importance of Fulani if they go on strike for one week.

She lamented that the Fulani people has contributed a lot to the Nigerian economy but they benefited nothing in return.

Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) says it would group its members across the federation into cooperative societies to enable them benefit from Federal Government funding opportunities.

Nigeria, others to benefit World Bank $15bn grant

The World Bank has said it will spend 15 billion dollars from 2021 to 2023 to help Nigeria and other African countries strengthen their human capital.

The World Bank Vice President for Africa, Mr Hafez Ghanem, said this at the launch of the bank’s Africa Human Capital Plan during the World Bank-IMF Spring Meetings on Thursday.

Ghanem said that the objective of the plan was to enable Africa’s young people to grow up in optimal health, and be equipped with the right skills to compete in the digitising global economy.
