The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has openly declared Monday as a work free day which is part of the mobilisation intiatives for residents of Bauchi state to get to enroll in the ongoing continuous voter registration ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who is the Bauchi State governor has announced that celebrating Democracy Day in the country is very important because the democratic governance has been firmly rooted and has come to stay in Nigeria.

The Governor made the declaration in his goodwill message to mark this year’s Democracy Day, asserting that there is no better alternative to democracy as a form of government that gives the people the right to choose who to govern them and how they want to be governed.

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, on Saturday explained to the people of the state that he sacked his cabinet during the week to bring the state out of the deadlock it was in.

The governor explained this while marking this year’s Democracy Day in Zaki, the headquarters of Zaki Local Government Area of the state.
