Access Bank Offers Free Banking Services To Senior Citizens

Access Bank Plc has introduced ‘Evergreen account’ targeted at Nigerians aged 60 and above. It is a special account designed and packaged to provide senior citizens offering free financial and lifestyle services.

A statement quoted the bank’s Executive Director, Retail Banking, Mr. Victor Etuokwu, to have said: “Our senior citizens are very important to us especially those who are pensioners, as well as potential and existing retirees. We have designed an exceptional product to reward them for their significant contribution and accommodate their financial needs.”

CBN Lists Benefits of Digitisation To Banking Supervision

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said digitisation supports effective supervision of the financial system, data access and management.

The CBN Deputy Governor, Financial System Stability (FSS) and Chairman, FITC Board, Mrs. Aisha Ahmad (CFA), disclosed this during the opening of the 2019 CBN/FITC Continuous Education Programme for Directors of Banks and Other Financial Institutions held in Lagos.

The Deputy Governor was represented by the Director, Banking Supervision Department, CBN, Mr. Ahmad Abdullahi at the event.
