No fewer than seven farmers have been confirmed dead after terrorists invaded their farmlands in Faru community of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State, in the early hours of yesterday.

According to one Garba Abdullahi, who is an indigene of the community, the farmers were working in their farmlands, preparing for this year’s farming season, when the bandits attacked and killed them.

Bandits attacked two villages in the Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State, yesterday where left at least 56 people dead with several others sustaining various degrees of injuries.

A resident of the area, Samaila Mohammed, who confirmed the development to newsmen on Sunday stated that the bandits, who were on motorcycles and carrying sophisticated weapons, invaded Sabon-garin Damri and Kalahe villages on Friday, opening fire on everyone on sight.
