Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday splashed 51 Sports Utility Vehicles, SUVs, and eight houses on judges of the State High Court.

The governor, after handing over the vehicles, said efforts to build a strong and formidable judiciary in Lagos State was on course in Lagos.

He said no arm of government in the State would be deprived of requisite tools to perform its statutory duties, reiterating his administration’s continued support to the judiciary and raise the bar of legal practice in line with global standards.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday described the strike embarked upon by doctors under its employ as unfair and unfortunate.

He said the strike was an opportunistic one by the doctors in view of the raging Coronavirus pandemic in the state.

Sanwo-Olu, who spoke with newsmen at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba where he commemorated 2020 Tree Planting Day and commissioned a 36 chamber Morgue donated by IHS Towers to the state government, said he was displeased by the action of the doctors.

The federal government and Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu have come under attack over the closure of Third Mainland bridge for six months.

The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mr Olukayode Popoola, announced that Third Mainland bridge will be closed likely on July 24th for another phase of repair works to begin.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commenced the distribution of bags of rice, beans and Vitamin C to indigent families to cushion the stay-at-home order aimed at tackling the spread of Coronavirus.
