NANS Advises Against Self Help In TOTAL, Automatic Fit Rift

The leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have advised against resorting to self-help in the rift between Total Nigeria Plc and Automatic Fit and Energy Limited.

The Chairman of the Committee on Misappropriation, Umar Faruk Lawal, in a statement said:

“I am writing on behalf of the NANS to express our concern over the lingering conflicts between Total and Automatic Fit and Energy Limited.

Dapo Offers Best Graduating Student Automatic Employment

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has offered Miss Akintola Esther Modupe, the best graduating student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, automatic employment.

Akintola graduated with a cumulative average grade of 3.90 out of the maximum 4.

She would commence work immediately after her mandatory one-year national youth service scheme.

Prince Abiodun made this known at the 40th anniversary and 19th convocation ceremony of the polytechnic, held in the school premises on Wednesday.

Gov Dickson offers automatic employment to 102 PhD holders

Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has offered automatic employment to 336 professionals from various disciplines including 102 PhD holders.

A breakdown of the 336 beneficiaries showed that 102 PhD holders drawn from the state and other Ijaw-speaking communities across the country were absorbed as lecturers into the state-owned tertiary institutions.

A statement by his Special Adviser on Media Relations, Fidelis Soriwei, said Dickson presented employment letters to the beneficiaries on Saturday.

The governor named other beneficiaries as 60 medical doctors, 54 master’s degree holders and 119 first class graduates.

Dickson provides automatic jobs to Ijaw PhD holders

Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has offered automatic employments to all PhD holders from Bayelsa State and Ijaw indigenes in other states across the country.

The governor clarified the beneficiaries of the offer were Ijaws from Ondo, Edo, Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom states.

Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said Dickson made the announcement while inaugurating the Committee for the Employment of Ph.D holders across Ijaw land.
