Pedro Sanchez who is the Spanish prime minister has openly condemned and berated Atletico Madrid on Tuesday for not taking a full stand against some of the racist chants which had emanated from their supporters aimed at Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior.

The pre-season friendly which had been slated to take place between Spanish side Atletico Madrid and Italian giants Juventus which had also been scheduled to take place in Israel this weekend has been ultimately cancelled because of some “security” concerns, the two teams announced on Saturday.

Serbian coach Radomir Antic, the only person to manage Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona, died on Monday at the age of 71 following a long illness.

“The Atletico de Madrid family is mourning the passing of Radomir Antic, one of our legendary coaches. You will forever live in our hearts. Rest in peace,” the club tweeted.
