The Buhari Media Organisation has faulted former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s assertion that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration took more loans in the last three years than the preceding administrations did in 30 years.

The group said the claim by the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections was a co-mixture of “outright lies and conjectures.”

Buhari, Kalu Condole Atiku Over Aide’s Death

President Muhammadu Buhari and the Chief Whip of the Senate and former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, have expressed sadness over the demise of a close aide of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, Alhaji Umar Pariya.

The president’s condolence message is contained in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, in Abuja, yesterday.

Adesina quoted President Buhari as saying: “I received the news of the death of your close aide, Alhaji Pariya, with a heavy heart. It is very touching to lose such a personal aide of many years.

Atiku’s Aide Umar Pariya Found Dead In Dubai

Former Nigeria vice president Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday lost one of his aides Umar Pariya.

Pariya died in Dubai. The cause of his death is yet to be disclosed.

“Umar Pariya was much more than a longstanding aide to me,” Atiku said in a tweet.

“He was incredibly loyal and qualified as a member of my family.”

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu said he was saddened by the news of Pariya’s death.

“I knew him very well. He was very cerebral,” Tinubu said.
