A former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has lambasted Vice President and a Presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yemi Osinbajo over his 2023 ambition.

Dokubo claimed that Osinbajo was unfit to rule Nigeria because his track record was questionable.

Asari Dokubo, a former militant leader in the Niger Delta region, has told ex-president Goodluck Jonathan to stop fooling himself by running around the Aso Rock thinking he would be considered for presidency come 2023.

Dokubo said this in a Facebook address on Sunday, cautioning Jonathan not to fall for calls by emissaries, advising him to run for the 2023 presidential election.

The ex-militant leader said this despite being a strong supporter of the Bayelsa-born former President while in and out of office.

Asari Dokubo, leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force, has given his opinion on the alleged mismanagement of ₦81 billion by the interim management committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

According to Dokubo said, the alleged mismanagement is mere pickpocketing and nothing compared to what Nigerians from other regions “are stealing” from the Niger Delta people.

The national assembly is currently investigating the alleged mismanagement of the funds by the IMC.

President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered a forensic audit of the commission’s activities from 2001 to 2019.

Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, on Friday, spoke again on the Biafran agitation. He called the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, an “idiot” and a Jewish State Protagonist.

The ex-leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF) and pro-Biafran, alleged that Kanu’s faction was promoting religious intolerance.

He said Kanu’s followers threatened to kill Christians and Muslims in the proposed country and make Biafra “a Jewish State”.

Dokubo declared that he could not work with such people, noting that “all of us are Biafrans”.
