Soldier’s Club Inaugurated By Army Chief Farouk Yahaya

Lt.-Gen. Farouk Yahaya who is the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has on Wednesday, reiterated the importance of the maintenance of the facilities in army barracks and cantonments.

Army Chief, Yahaya had made this advise to the Ekehuan Barrack while inaugurating the remodelled soldier’s club, as well as five blocks of seven flats for officers and soldiers in the cantonment.

Niger Govt Threatens To Cut Off Water Supply To Army Barracks

The Niger State Government has threatened to disconnect water supply from the State Water and Sewage Corporation to the Army Barracks, Minna for failure to settle their water bills.

The Commissioner of Water Resources, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman made the threat in a reaction to the debts owed by Security agencies and efforts being made by some to settle them in the state during a media round-table in Minna.
