Kanu: Appeal Court Orders Transmission Of Records To S’Court

The Court of Appeal has charged the Supreme Court an expeditious hearing in the Federal Government’s appeal against its judgment that discharged Nnamdi Kanu from the charges brought against him by the Federal reserve bothering on terrorism.

To this end, the Appellate Court on Friday ordered its own Registry to compile and transmit to the Supreme Court within seven days the record of appeal in respect of the judgment delivered on October 13.

President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa has revealed that 805 cases that emanated from the 2019 general elections has been successfully disposed off by the appellate court.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna on Friday upheld the election of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State.
The court ruled that the appeal filed by Abba Kabiru Yusuf and his party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lacks merit.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kogi State Musa Wada has rejected the election results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
