The 8th edition of the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) awards which was held has surely proven its mettle as it was all glitz and glamour at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos where it was hosted.

Popular TV host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu; TV personality, Uti Nwachukwu and Popular On-Air Personality, Toke Makinwa and Ghanian actress, Sika Osei, were on the red carpets talking to celebrities about their choice of outfits.

The 7th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award, AMVCA, held at the Eko expo hall, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, where Africa’s top movie stars and filmmakers were recognized for their exceptional work and contribution to the industry.

On-air personality, IK Osakioduwa was the host, alongside a new female co-host, Kenya’s Amina Abdi Rabar.

Awards were presented in 28 categories, with seven categories open to public voting and 21 being categories decided by the AMVCA panel of judges with the inclusion of a new category, The AMVCA  MultiChoice Talent Factory Award.

Charles Okpaleke’s “Living In Bondage: Breaking Free” was the biggest winner of the night with a total of seven awards, at the just concluded 7th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award, AMVCA, held at the Eko expo hall, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

‘Living in Bondage’ secured 7 awards out of 11 nominations including Best Overall Movie, Best Movie West Africa, Best Director, Best Writer in a Movie among others.
