Covid-19: CDC Chief Warns Of ‘Impending Doom’ In US

A senior scientist and the director of the US public health agency has warned that the US faces ‘impending doom’ as coronavirus cases and hospital admissions continue to rise across the country.

US President Joe Biden had on Monday urged state politicians once again to make mask-wearing obligatory in public places while also promising that by mid-April, he expects that at least 90% of American adults would have been vaccinated.

The US has recorded around 60,000 new cases daily for the past week.
