2023: Why I Dropped My Gubernatorial Ambition – AGF Malami

Despite earlier reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had accepted the resignation of some of his cabinet members, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has come out to clarify that he has not resigned citing several reasons for staying put.

Instead, Malami disclosed he has withdrawn his ambition to contest the 2023 Kebbi State gubernatorial elections.

The AGF stated this in a statement by his media aide, Dr Umar Gwandu which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York.

‘Malami has the right to choose to voluntarily shelve his gubernatorial ambition’ he said.

Islamic Body Warns Against Killing For Ambition

An Islamic group, Jama’atu Nasir Islam (JNI), has urged the electorate to be orderly as they cast their votes, even as it warned politicians against killing since the ambition of an individual is not worth the blood of any Kogi citizen.
