Okorocha And Uzodinma Alliance: AA Reps Defect To APC

It appears the new alliance between Sen Rochas Okorocha and his successor, Hope Uzodinma is paying off, as members of the Action Alliance in the House of Representatives have decamped to the All Progressives Congress.

The two lawmakers are Pascal Obi and Kingsly Chuma.

Both Uzodinma and Okorocha have closed ranks following the outcome of the Supreme Court judgement that declared the former as the governor of Imo state.

The two members of the Action Alliance who are loyal to Sen Okorocha announced their defection to the APC on Thursday through a letter read by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila.

African Alliance Restates Support for Recapitalisation

Shareholders of the African Alliance Plc have pledged their support to the board and management of the company in the ongoing quest to reposition the firm and scale the recapitalisation hurdle specified by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).

Nato Alliance Experiencing Brain Death, Says Macron

President Emmanuel Macron of France has described Nato as “brain dead”, stressing what he sees as waning commitment to the transatlantic alliance by its main guarantor, the US.

Interviewed by the Economist, he cited the US failure to consult Nato before pulling forces out of northern Syria.
