Wike Carpets Oshiomhole Over Obaseki

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has stated that national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole is not in the good books of the party’s leaders and governors.

Wike accused Oshiomhole of acting like a godfather in Edo even though he claimed he was against godfatherism.

In a statement at the weekend by Simeon Nwakaudu, Wike warned Oshiomhole to stop making comments on national issues as if he was talking about Edo.

The former Edo governor and the incumbent, Godwin Obaseki, are currently at loggerheads.

Nigerians Bash Oshiomhole Over ‘No Governor’ Comments

Nigerians have bashed the All Progressives Congress, APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole for saying that there will be no new governor in Bayelsa State on Friday as the judgment of the Supreme Court lacked ingredient.

Oshiomhole, while reacting to the judgment which sacked the election of David Lyon and declare Duoye Diri of the PDP winner, said Duoye did not have the wide spread to be sworn in as Governor on Friday.

Nigerians on Twitter have taken Oshiomhole to the cleaner, lambasting him for making such a statement.

Imo PDP, APC Clash In Counter Protest

Imo State was today thrown into confusion as the two rival parties, the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress clashed over the January 14 Supreme Court judgment.

Reporters who took stock of the protest said the rally took off at the popular Ugwu Ekwema along Egbu road and ended at the fire service roundabout where members of APC intercepted the PDP supporters and threatened a showdown.

The PDP protest, according to our reporter, was the third since the supreme court judgement that ousted Chief Emeka Ihedioha as the Governor of Imo state.

Factional State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Lawrence Okah, whose house was allegedly bombed by unknown persons on Tuesday morning, has accused Governor Godwin Obaseki of plotting to kill him over his second term ambition.

The Governor, however, said the resort to violence was the stock in trade of Ize-Iyamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and their cohorts in the Edo Peoples Movement (EPM).
