2023: Tinubu Never Met Wike In France – Spokesperson

A spokesperson on Friday clarified that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu never at any point held any meeting with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, in France.

Africa Daily News, New York reports had gone viral on social media about a supposed meeting between Tinubu and Wike, a chieftain of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

However, a statement signed by a spokesperson of the Tinubu Media Office, Tunde Rahman, debunked the reports, describing them as fake.

The lawmaker representing Kwara Central district, Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe, has recounted how he got a refund of the cash he gave to delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the party’s primaries after he lost to his opponent.

He made this known during an interview on Channels Television which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York.

According to him, the funds given to the delegates were for logistics.

Oloriegbe is among several other members of the party in the Senate who lost their party’s ticket to seek re-election into the red chamber of the National Assembly.
