Alcohol Vs COVID-19: Nigerian Doctor, WHO Shatter Myth

A Nigerian doctor, Akintunde Ogunfeyimi has warned against excessive intake of local alcohol gin and herbal concoctions, as shield against COVID-19.

He said there there has been no scientific proof to support the notion.

He warned that excessive intake of local gin and concoctions would rather damage the intestines, kidney and liver.

Ogunfeyimi is the Chief Medical Director of Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Okitipupa.

His view has been corroborated by the World Health Organisation.
