IGP Redeploys DIG, AIG To New Departments Respectively

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has approved the posting of Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Sanusi Lemu, and Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, as DIG in-charge of the Department of Operations and acting DIG in-charge of Finance and Administration, respectively.

The deployment of the senior officers was sequel to the retirement of DIGs Abdulmajid Ali and Abduldahiru Danwawu, after the completion of their statutory years of service.

AIG Retires 72 Hours To Edo Governorship Election

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of β€˜Zone 5’ in Benin City, Mr. Dabal Paul Yakadi, has bowed out of service barely 72 hours to Edo State Governorship election slated for Saturday.

Yakadi, retired on Tuesday after attaining the mandatory age of retirement.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that he could not function during the Edo election Stakeholders meeting which was attended by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Adamu Mohammed.
