Malami Becomes Buhari’s Son-In-Law After Wedding 3rd Daughter

Abubakar Malami, the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) has become the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari’s son-in-law after his wedding to Nana Hadiza who is Buhari’s third daughter who is shared with his first wife, Safinatu.

The wedding Nikai had taken place at the Presidential Villa Mosque on Friday, before President Buhari departed for Daura, his hometown.

A Spokesman for the President, Garba Shehu, confirmed this to reporters on Friday in a text message.

‘It is true. The AGF got married to the President’s daughter,’ he said.

The 41 year-old Nana Hadiza had been first married to Abdulrahman Mamman Kurfi.

Nigeria To Revive Special Courts To Probe Boko Haram Sponsors

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Malami Abubakar, has explained that the federal government will revive special terrorism courts for the sole purpose of trial of suspected terrorists in the country.

Malami, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, said that the measure is part of the bold step of the presidency to tame the activities of terrorists that have been waging an endless war against the nation.

In his Sallah message to Nigerians, Malami said the federal government remained committed to ending insecurity in the country.

Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police over publications accusing him of massive corruption.

He wants the police to carry out comprehensive investigation into the “libelous and criminal defamation of his character and integrity”.

Malami had stated that he was traumatized by the allegations.

His petition signed by Sunday Ibrahim Ameh, SAN, is demanding apology and retraction.

It said under Malami, the extant National Anti Corruption Strategy was conceived, designed, approved by the Federal Executive Council and is currently being implemented.

A whistle-blower, John Okupurhe, has written a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, accusing the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).

Okpurhe, in a letter written by his lawyer, Aliyu Lemu, dated June 22, 2020, accused the AGF of refusing to pay him commission after exposing over $1bn (N420bn) hidden in Unity Bank Plc.
