Again, Osinbajo Reacts To Alleged “Rift” With Buhari

Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has reacted to another claim by a journalist Festus Adebayo about a supposed rift between him and President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adebayo, who was appointed by the Senate President Ahmed Lawan as a spokesman but was sacked soon afterwards following widespread criticism for his critical reviews about Buhari’s administration, claimed Osinbajo fell out with his principal after two “infractions.”

First, Adebayo claimed Osinbajo engaged in a “prayer coup” when Buhari was away for medical treatment in the United Kingdom. He claimed Osinbajo with “his Redeemed Christian Church of God accomplices” in Ogun state, prayed to God …

Mane Jokes He Would ‘Dive’ Again To Win Liverpool Penalty

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane says he will not change his style of play despite Pep Guardiola’s “diving” accusation.
The Manchester City boss made the claim at the weekend when the Senegal international was booked after going down in the penalty area following a challenge by Aston Villa’s Frederic Guilbert.

Manager Jurgen Klopp jumped to his defence and Guardiola subsequently rowed back on the comments, saying they were part of a longer speech in which he praised the forward.

Mane, unaware of the subsequent climbdown, was unmoved by Guardiola’s initial criticism as he believes if there is contact he has a

Arsenal Stumble Again At Vitoria Guimaraes

Arsenal’s faltering form continued as a much-changed side limped towards the last 32 of the Europa League with a 1-1 draw at Vitoria Guimaraes on Wednesday.
Shkodran Mustafi’s header 10 minutes from time looked set to hand the Gunners a barely deserved three points and maintain their 100 percent record in Group F.

However, Vitoria secured their first point in the group thanks to Bruno Duarte’s acrobatic stoppage-time equaliser.

Arsenal remain well placed to reach the knockout stages as they top the group with 10 points from their

UK: Boris Johnson Fails Again To Call Snap Election

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has again failed in his drive to call an early election, as he sought to break the political deadlock over Britain’s departure from the European Union.

A total of 299 MPs on Monday night backed Johnson’s latest bid – his third – but with opposition parties abstaining and 70 MPs voting against, the prime minister did not secure the backing of the two-thirds of the 650 MPs required by law to pass the motion.

Afghan Election Results Delayed Again

Afghan Election Results Delayed Again

Preliminary results from Afghanistan’s presidential elections have been delayed for nearly a month, officials announced Sunday, a lengthy postponement likely to stoke political uncertainty and allegations of fraud.

But more than a week after saying the Independent Election Commission would miss that deadline, commission chairwoman Hawa Alam Nuristani said the results now would not be released until November 14.

“We have already apologised for missing the date, but this doesn’t mean failure,” Nuristani told reporters.

I will beat Anthony Joshua again, says Andy Ruiz

Andy Ruiz Jnr has dispelled concerns he has taken his eye off the ball ahead of his money-spinning rematch with Anthony Joshua by insisting he has ‘the hunger’ to defend his titles.

The Mexican achieved his life-long ambition of becoming the first-ever heavyweight champion from his country when he stunned Joshua by stopping him in seven rounds back in June.

Ruiz, who came face to face with Joshua for the first time on Wednesday since that historic night in New York, renews his rivalry with the Brit on December 7 in Diriyah.

Notorious Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox (MMM), the Ponzi scheme which dashed the hope of over three million Nigerians in 2017, is back.

The new version known as MMM Cooperation promises as much as 50 percent return on any amount invested in it — 20 percent more than what the extinct version offered.

Just like the previous version, participants are to register, invest a particular amount in the form of “providing help” and “get help” with their investment and interest back after 30 days.

And some Nigerians are falling for it yet again!
