The President of the African Development Bank, Akinwunmi Adesina, has broken silence about the real reasons he can’t run for the number one seat in Nigeria going into 2023.

He made his reasons known in a statement on Tuesday titled, ‘Statement by Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President, African Development Bank’ which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York.

The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank(AfDB) has approved two loans amounting to $180 million to co-finance a major energy project that will extend electricity access to rural areas and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Rwanda.

Former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan, among other ex-leaders have backed Adesina Akinwumi, the President of African Development Bank (AfDB).

The United States had called for his fresh probe despite his clearance by the Ethics Committee.
