Nnamdi Kanu Sets Trap For Army, Orders CCTV Installation

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has ordered the installation of a Closed-Circuit Television, CCTV, camera in his family compound in Afaraukwu, Abia State, ahead of his parents’ burial.

Nnamdi Kanu explained that the installation of the CCTV cameras would monitor the activities of the Nigerian Army during the burial ceremony of his parents on Friday.

The IPOB leader, who spoke during his latest live broadcast on Radio Biafra threatened to kill the children of the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai if any IPOB member was injured during the burial ceremony.

Police’ll Cause Problem Nigeria Won’t Recover From – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday, warned the police against attacking mourners during the burial ceremony of the parents of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and his wife in Afaraukwu, Abia State.

IPOB warned that the police would be setting up a chain reaction that Nigeria may never recover from if mourners were attacked during the burial ceremony.

The traditional ruler of Afaraukwu community and his wife, who died last year would be buried on Friday.

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode said security operatives only threatened to disrupt the burial of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents in Afaraukwu because they are not from the Northern region of the country.

There is disquiet over allegations that soldiers invaded the Afaraukwu, Umuahia, home of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
