President Muhammadu Buhari is back to Abuja after a trip to Egypt, where he attended the Aswan Forum designed to set “an Agenda for Sustainable Peace and Development in Africa.”

1 Dead, Many Injured As Trailer Crushes Vehicles In Abuja

A middle- age woman died instantly on Wednesday morning when an articulated vehicle ploughed into several vehicles, at the Kugbo Hill, Nyanyan along the Abuja- Keffi Road.

Eye witnesses said the accident occurred at about 10.00 am, when the trailer developed a brake failure while it was about descending the hill. In the process, the driver lost control of the vehicle, when it crushed the other vehicles on its path.

Kidnaped Abuja Monarch Released After ₦6.5 Million Ransom

The traditional ruler of Rubochi in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), Mohammed Ibrahim Pada, who was kidnaped last Wednesday has been released.

The monarch was said to have regained his freedom after his relative paid ₦6.5 million to the kidnappers.

Four Doctors Commit Suicide In Abuja

Between January and June this year, no fewer than four medical doctors, working in Abuja, committed suicide.

Dr Roland Aigbovo, President Association of Resident Doctors, FCT, disclosed this during a campaign against drug abuse, at Wuse Market. He did not give the names of the doctors.

The campaign, part of activities to mark the association’s Health Week was aimed at educating traders and shoppers on the dangers of drug abuse.
