Elder statesman and former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, has identified corruption as the reason behind the backwardness of Nigeria.

He said Nigeria has refused to grow because of corruption and lack of unity.

Tsav made this assertion on Monday during the launching of the book, Integrity vs Power Play: Understanding the Buhari Phenomenon By Philip Agbese in Abuja.

Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, and ex-Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, met on Saturday.

The leaders, who met in Minna, Niger State, were in a cordial mood as they exchanged pleasantries and chatted.

Atiku was the presidential candidate of Nigeria’s main opposition, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) while Tinubu is the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ruling party.On arrival, Tinubu and his entourage were received by Governor of Niger State, Sani Bello.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in penultimate Saturday’s presidential election Atiku Abubakar voted in Saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly election in Adamawa State not convinced his vote will count.
