No Respite Yet As World COVID-19 Cases Surpass 16million

Global COVID-19 cases accelerated beyond the 16 million mark on Saturday night, just three days after reaching the 15 million milestone.
According to data compiled by worldometers.info, confirmed cases of the virus are now 16,205,503.
The death toll also spiralled up to 648,476.
Recovery number is however more than 60 percent, at 9,914,063.
According to Reuters, almost 40 countries reported record single-day increases in coronavirus infections over the past week, around double the number that did so the previous week.
