Dortmund Make Can Deal permanent

Germany international Emre Can’s move from Juventus to Borussia Dortmund has been made permanent, both clubs confirmed on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old, who can play as a defender or a holding midfielder, joined the Bundesliga outfit on loan last month as cover for Denmark’s injured Thomas Delaney until the end of the season and has now signed a four-year deal.

“Borussia Dortmund have agreed a permanent transfer with Juventus,” the German club said in a statement, adding Can’s loan spell officially ends at the end of June.

Tokyo 2020 organisers on Monday rolled out the motto for this year’s Olympics, “United by Emotion”, which they said reflected the “universal values” and “unifying power of sport”.

“Crowds of spectators who do not know each other prior to the Games will come together and learn that there is more that unites them than divides them,” Tokyo 2020 said as it unveiled the motto.

The official Twitter accounts for football clubs, Olympics and Barcelona were hacked on Saturday, February 15, by “OurMine” a group known to hack social media accounts owned by prominent persons.

In a tweet which has long been deleted from the Olympics Twitter account, OurMine said, “Hi, we are OurMine. Everything is hackable.”

NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Saturday the league expects to lose “several hundred million dollars” due to a row with China over a tweet by Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey supporting Hong Kong pro-democracy protesters.
