The English Premier League celebrates players of African and Caribbean descent who have been crowned Premier League champions.

Former Cameroon defender Ephrem M’Bom died on Sunday in Douala after a long illness. He was 66 years old.

M’Bom was a member of The Indomitable Lions squad that played in the 1982 Africa Cup of Nations in Libya, and later in the same year he was part of the Cameroon squad that made its FIFA world Cup debut in Spain.

He spent his entire career at home, most notably with the legendary Canon Yaounde, winning five Cameroonian League titles (1979, 1980, 1982, 1985 and 1986) and three Cameroon Cups (1978, 1983 and 1986).

According to the official figures of the Lega Serie A, Osimhen clocked a speed of 34.05 km per hour.

The Nigerian forward beat his teammate Dries Mertens speed at 31.78KM to be adjudged the fastest player in the league for the week.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expressed its condolences to the families of eight teenage footballers killed in a road accident.

The accident occurred on Saturday in the country’s Ashanti region.

About 30 others were injured.

Edmund Nyamekye, commander of the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department, told the media that four of the injured had been rushed to hospital and were in critical condition.

The accident occurred when the footballers were returning from Afrancho, a community in the Ashanti region, the commander said.

Belgium international, Michy Batshuayi has agreed to join Crystal Palace on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.

This is after the striker extended his contract with Chelsea by one year. Previously, speculations have linked the 26-year-old with a move to Selhurst Park Stadium.
