World football governing body, FIFA has announced the suspension of Kenya and Zimbabwe for what the body described as government interference in football matters.

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino made this decision public this at a press conference on Thursday which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York.

Kenya’s Ministry of Sports in November 2021, suspended the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and appointed a caretaker committee to take charge of soccer activities in the country.

Highly rated Nigerian sprinter, Blessing Okagbare has reacted to the 10-year ban which was earlier slammed on her by the Disciplinary Tribunal of the Athletics Integrity Unit.

After being on suspension for over seven months with no clear direction on how her doping case will be adjudicated, the AIU on Friday announced that a 10-year ban has been placed on Okagbare.

In her reaction, Okagbare hinted that her lawyers are already studying the AIU decision ahead of their next line of action.

Burkina Faso shocked Tunisia on Saturday as teenager Dango Ouattara scored the only goal and was sent off as they West African side managed to reach the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals.
