In a last attempt to clinch some good victory for themselves, the Nigerian National Under-20 men’s football team, the Flying Eagles, on Wednesday qualified for the semi-finals of the WAFU-B U-20 championship in Niamey, Niger Republic.

The team played a 2-2 draw with their Burkinabé counterparts in a thrilling encounter at the General Seyni Kountche Stadium, Niamey, to scale through in their second and last Group B match.

The team had, on Sunday, beaten their Ghanaian counterparts 2-0 in their opening match.

Assemblyman Mohammed Omadefu has organised a football competition among youths of his constituency in order to promote peaceful coexistence, unity and tackle youths restiveness in Nasarawa State.

Omadefu, member representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, made this known during the final match of the competition, tagged “Hon Quality Ramadan Football Cup 2022”, between Azuzu FC and Zaragoza FC in Keana on Tuesday.
