Nigeria Needs Over $410bn For Better Energy – Osinbajo

The Nigerian Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has made some fresh revealations on Wednesday that for Nigerians to beat the constant issues with power and energy, they would have to spend over $410bn which would be used to deliver its energy transition plan by 2060.

Osinbajo had also made this statement at the global virtual inauguration of Nigeria’s Energy Transition Plan and this had been disclosed in a statement by his spokesman, Laolu Akande.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security agents to go after terrorists within the country’s borders and restore law and order.

Buhari pointed out that security agents have been given the mandate to hunt, pursue, and speak to terrorists in the language they understand.

He made this known while speaking at the Citizens Summit for National Integration, Peace, and Security organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Partners, held in Abuja.

Raila Odinga who is the veteran opposition and first runner-up in the recently concluded Kenyan presidential elections has headed to the Kenyan Supreme Court on Monday to openly challenge the results of this month’s election that declared Deputy President William Ruto as the winner.

In the petition, Odinga had prayed the court to nullify all the results of the polls on several grounds, including on ground of a mismatch between the turnout figures and the result, and failure by the electoral commission to tally ballots from 27 constituencies as required by law.
