The Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), an umbrella body of the governors of the 36 states of the federation are mulling to make a demand from the federal government, that their shares and those of the local governments from the Federation Account be given to them in US Dollars.

The financial support provided by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to Nigeria’s power sector is set to hit a total of ₦1.695 trillion, making it the single largest creditor to the sector, an analysis of a report obtained from the apex bank by Newsmen has disclosed.

The United State Agency For International Development (USAID) has restated commitment towards sustaining its support on potable water supply to Sokoto.
