A former Anambra State governor and vice presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Peter Obi, yesterday stressed the need for Nigeria to invest in her human capital as it is being done in developed countries, noting that this would go a long way in improving the leadership qualities in the country.

Chairman of Oyo State National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Asubiojo Olajuwon, has been detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku, Ibadan.

Olajuwon was said to have been arrested inside the premises of Federal Co-operative College, Eleiyele, at the weekend while holding a meeting with other executive members of the association.

One of his aides, who spoke with The Guardian, alleged that some people, who claimed to be close to Governor Seyi Makinde, led police to the school where he was holding the meeting and was subsequently arrested.

The Minister for Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, says under-recovery of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly referred to as fuel subsidy, will gulp ₦450bn in 2020.

The Federal Government says it will increase crude oil production to the national target of three million barrels per day and reserves of 40 million barrels before 2023.
