Kwankwaso, Others Made Ganduje’s Commissioners List

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has forwarded list of nominees for commissioners to the state house of assembly for screening.

Kano State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Honourable Abdulazeez Gafaza who confirmed the list at the plenary on Monday said the house will commence screening of the nominees Tuesday.

Among the nominees who were former members of Ganduje cabinet are Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, Murtala Sule Garo, Barrister Ibrahim Muktar, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Getso and Mohammed Garba.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday debunked the rumour that it had reached a conclusion on which part of the country its next presidential candidate would come from.
PDP alleged that politicians in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who had become jittery of its rising political fortunes were at work in planting seeds of disunity among its members.

Over A Dozen Killed In Car Bomb Near Turkey-Syria Border

At least 13 people have been killed in a car bomb explosion in a Syrian town on the border with Turkey, according to the Turkish defence ministry.

The blast on Saturday ripped through a crowded market in Tal Abyad, a town controlled by Turkish-backed opposition fighters.

“Based on first findings, 13 civilians were killed and around 20 others injured” in the explosion, Turkey’s defence ministry said in a statement.
